Development of industry standards: RDCPE is one of the main developers of intracorporate standards for electric grid organizations, national industry standards in the field of electric power, in the part of international standards ecsperts of RDCPE revise IEC standards:
- 60076-5. Power transformers – Part 5: Ability to withstand short circuit;
- 60076-11. Dry type transformers;
- 60214-2. Tapchangers–Part 2: Application guide;
- 63075. High Temperature Superconducting Power Cables and their Accessories for Rated Voltages from 6 kV up to 500 kV - Test Methods And Requirements.
Prospective areas of research:
Digital technology and solutions:
RDCPE created the experimental polygon "Digital substation" (CPS) on the basis of the existing experimental substation of alternating current 110/10 kV. The testing provide simulation of disturbing effects on the equipment for verification of the technical characteristics. This approach significantly speeds up the process of introducing equipment created using the new technology.
Cybersecurity:
RDCPE participates in research which are aimed to promote solutions cyberncidentates in electrical substations with various degrees of automation, including using the technology "Digital substation".
Energy efficient technologies and solutions:
RDCPE provides energy efficiency research, engineering services, implements innovative energy-saving technologies and also complex energy conservation projects.
Superconductivity:
RDCPE's engage in testing of the cable and Russian-made cryogenic system in collaboration with other partner companies, as well as RDCPE create superconductor DC cable line (1,500 meters, 20 kV, 50 MVt) with a DC link.
